Day one of planning for the biggest road trip of my life. Greg is traveling with me. Our current wish is to fly to Atlanta on Thursday night, August 28. Non-stop flights leave at 10:20 pm from Lindbergh Field - San Diego. We would arrive in Atlanta at 5:20 in the morning, 2:30 am SD time.
Jim Ellis Porsche of Atlanta will pick us up at the airport and we'll have breakfast before heading to the store (car biz talk for the dealer's lot). I expect to take an hour at the dealer, signing papers, picking up the promised extra goods. 2007 Porsche Boxster, 14K miles, Red with Sand interior - $38,950!
It's a 7 hour drive to New Orleans, but I'm thinking about possibly taking a short detour to Pensacola, Florida. Right now, this road trip will definitely go through the states of Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Arizona before coming home to beautiful Rancho San Diego. I will collect magnets and draw a map of where we went. Adding Florida to make it a 7 state road trip will happen.
I hope to take a lot of pictures and upload and update this site with images and stories about our adventure.

This is AirTran and airtran.com. Who the hell is AirTran?
UPDATE: It never happened. I pulled the plug on myself. It's really too much money to spend.
I can't believe I was that close to buying this 2006 Boxster for $38000!
